Minou was a French stray cat that Picasso adopted during a very “blue” period of his life, at a time when he was depressed and ruined. The story tells that the painter had to return the cat to the street since he could not feed him anymore. Minou found himself again wandering around Montmartre and was fortunate enough to find a sausage to eat. Without hesitation, Minou returned to his former owner’s house to share the meal with him. This is why I decided to recreate the most famous works of Picasso with his cat as the main character, to give Minou the importance he never had; and to highlight the tender bond between the painter and the cat.
